MMS’s Timeline

  • 1987 – Opened Focus Group Facility
  • 1988 – Became Certified as Women Business Enterprise
  • 1988 – Transitioned to Computers from pencil and paper
  • 1992 – Moved to new, larger office space
  • 1995 – Opened larger Call Center
  • 1995 – Separated and expanded Focus Group Facility
  • 1996 – Remodeled Focus Group Facility
  • 2001 – Became Full Service, expanding our capabilities to include screener/questionnaire
                    development, data analysis, moderating, report writing, and presentation of results
  • 2002 – Acquired Bay Area Research, LLC
  • 2003 – Moved Headquarters from Catonsville, MD to Randallstown, MD
  • 2007 – Remodeled and updated Focus Group Facility in Catonsville, MD
  • 2009 – Remodeled and updated Headquarters
  • 2012 – Death of Founder, Barbara Bridge
  • 2015 – Opened new headquarters in Owings Mills, Maryland

 

From picnic tables and mismatched chairs to state-of-the-art, auto-dialing CATI stations – MMS’s tools and methodologies continue to modernize yet our original mission remains consistent, as does our commitment to high quality, accurate, and reliable results.  And to you!

 

A Note About our Founder, Barbara Bridge (1955-2012)

Barbara Bridge founded Maryland Marketing Source, Inc. in 1986.  When Maryland Marketing Source, Inc. opened its doors, having a computer was considered high tech.  Telephones were cumbersome and dialed by hand, paper surveys where shipped across the country, and the company's first employees had to sit on the floor.   Barbara's professionalism and tenacity allowed Maryland Marketing Source, Inc. to continuously grow and expand, keeping up with technological and methodological advancements.

Barbara had worked more than 30 years in the industry, and she certainly left her mark on the market research world. Presiding over her own company for 25 years, Barbara's vision, expertise, and integrity have cultivated a deep-rooted commitment to quality and service that has stood MMS out as a leader among research companies, and will forever guide the way we operate.

Barbara was a remarkable woman who touched many lives, both personally and professionally.  She will be greatly missed.
