Win or Lose

I received a call today that really got me thinking.

The call came from a potential client who had recently requested a bid from us for some research assistance.  The caller told me that he appreciated the time and effort we gave to the development of his project, he appreciated the revised bids we sent to him as parameters changed, and he appreciated meeting with us to fully discuss and explore his research goals and needs.  He said he appreciated our fair pricing and that our costs actually came in a bit lower than our esteemed competitors.
